This unclaimed property session will cover some basics and then we will go into detail on topics like IRAs, Funeral Accounts, and who is the owner of an uncashed cashier's check. We will share some best practices along with changes in unclaimed property laws, including the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on uncashed “official checks” issued by MoneyGram. A guest speaker from DMA Inc. (DMAINC.com) will cover the ever-changing world of unclaimed property audits and what to expect next.
