FinCEN’s Final Rule for Customer Due Diligence (CDD), often called the Beneficial Owners Rule, must be implemented by May 11, 2018. This webinar will cover the four core elements of the CDD Rule and the two “prongs” required for categorizing beneficial owners. The rule leaves many financial institutions unclear about how they should implement new guidelines within their risk-based customer due diligence procedures. We will discuss procedures covered financial institutions (CFIs) should strive to implement in what now has become known as the 5th pillar of BSA/AML programs.
